Description:

YURI GAGARIN
(1934 - 1968) Russian cosmonaut, the first man in space who died tragically in a routine training flight. An interesting item, a S.P. 8 1/2" x 11" b/w, showing Gagarin with SERGEI KOROLOV, signed by each. At bottom left, an A.D.S. by Gagarin [n.p., n.d.] is affixed reading, in full: "The flight to space allowed me to acquaint myself not only with the unimaginable height and speed, but also with the possibilities of our scientists, engineers and common workers. The spaceship Vostok is the quintessence of all achievements of our science and technology. Gagarin". Rare. Very good condition.
