Description:

WYATT EARP MUSEUM PHOTOGRAPH COLLECTION
A great collection of 35 reproductions of vintage photographs obtained by our consignor directly from the estate of Wyatt Earp collector and historian John Gilchriese. Gilchriese had befriended John Flood, Earp's personal secretary whom Earp treated as a son, and in the late 1950s Flood gave Gilchriese all of his Earp-related material. Gilchriese opened the Wyatt Earp Museum in Tombstone in 1966, which was open for just a few years. The photos show different scenes from early life in Tombstone, including buildings, railway conductors, landscapes, and portraits of notable personalities such as Calamity Jane and more recent photographs. Generally 5" x 7" and 8" x 10", with two oversize 12" x 18". Each is matted. Very attractive, ideal for display.
