1330. WWII PATRIOTIC COVERS A good ca. 1944 group of thirteen, unused, 12mo., American printed postal covers depicting various patriotic and anti-Nazi themes in the left margin. Examples include several colorful cachets with one bearing a depiction of the statue of Liberty over an American flag with the motto: "Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death" printed below while others poke fun at Hitler and the Nazi party with one showing a characterization of Hitler with his Feb. 24, 1941 quote that the entire world is responsible for war and not him.
