Description:

Fine grouping of material from German pilot Robert Reimers who served as a pilot for Germany during World War I and later as a sergeant with the 4./Res. Flakabt. 201 during World War II. Included in this grouping is: Reimers' flight log book with "Sonderstaffel / Aviator-Ers.-Abt.11" and showing 13 flights as pilot from July 11-18, 1918; fascinating group of 18+ barograph sheets, most dated 1918, each marked with Reimer's name, date, location, and airplane type and showing the dives, climbs and altitudes he achieved during various training practice flights; certificate of award of the "Jungflieger" memorial badge, 1917-1921 in Silver, as pilot, stamped Aug. 20, 1922; Award Certificate for Service Award III and IV Class, as sergeant of I./Flak-Regt. 20 Wroclaw, Dresden, Oct. 5, 1937, signed by Gen. ALBERT KESSELRING; certificates of award for both the silver and bronze honorary pins of the Kyffhäuserbunde, July 2, 1939 and Aug. 11, 1940; certificate recognizing a donation to the Hermann Goring Werke in honor of Hitler's 1940 birthday, signed in type by HERMANN GORING; award certificate for Sudetenland Occupation Medal, Jan. 28, 1941; and Reimer's "dog tag", "Fl. H. Kdtr. (L) Breslau No. 1440" made of aluminum. Overall very good.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
