WORLD WAR II "UNITED NATIONS" POSTERS
Good pair of original American World War II posters, both incorporating the theme of unity between Allied nations. Includes: Propaganda poster, 20" x 28", depicting a group of tanks, artillery, ships and planes advancing together beneath the flags of the Allies. The poster is entitled "United", and bears the legend "The United Nations Fight for Freedom" at bottom. The name of the artist, Leslie Ragan, appears on the leftmost tank. The poster is marked at bottom left as being "O[ffice of] W[ar] I[nformation] Poster No. 79", and at bottom right: "U.S. Government Printing Office : 1943 - O- 534058". Shows original mailing folds, else very good. WITH: Propaganda poster, 28 1/2" x 39", entitled "The United Nations Fight for Freedom" and depicting the labeled flags of each of the Allied nations adjacent to a monochrome image of the Statue of Liberty. The poster is marked at the bottom edge as being "O.W.I., Poster No. 19", and at bottom right: "U.S. Government Printing Office : 1942 - O - 498304". Shows original mailing folds, with some splitting thereto repaired on the verso with cello tape, else very good. Two pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
