Description:

WORLD WAR II UKRAINIAN PRO-GERMAN POSTER
A very scarce example of Ukrainian, anti-Semitic propaganda, a poster measuring 23" x 31", depicting an idealized representation of a German law that would privatize Russian land, permitting farmers to own, rather than merely work, it. At center is a stone monument with the law inscribed, crested by the German eagle and swastika. Underneath is a farmer tilling the land, with the title: "The Power of the Land Belongs to Everyone who Works on it!". At right are derogatory caricatures of Jews gesturing unhappily at the declaration. Folds, tears in spots, edge wear, tape reinforcement on verso, pen notation at top left, still a tough to get example, worthy of restoration.
