Description:

WORLD WAR II UKRAINIAN ANTI-SEMITIC POSTER
A very rare poster from Ukraine, 21" x 33" color, depicting a horrible pro-German, anti-Semitic scene showing Russian peasants on a forced march, weighed down with a wooden yoke that is held shut by a padlock adorned with a Star of David. At right, a caricature of a Jew in a Russian Commissar's uniform wields a pistol while the two peasants "tow" him along. The legend reads: "Workers and Peasants Power: that was Soviet Freedom". Prominent folds with a central hole, wear to edges, in a fragile state, yet quite worthy of proper restoration.
