Description:

WORLD WAR II PROPAGANDA
Three pieces of World War II propaganda, the first a small Russian broadside measuring 6" x 8", shows happy German soldiers at rest with a notice printed in Cyrillic and German on the verso urging the recipient to enlist in the German army. Roughly translated: "...Card. Show this. Voluntarily leave the Red Army and go over to the Germans. Be given good treatment". With an anti-Hitler German folded pamphlet 2pp. 5 1/2" square, shows marching Nazi Youth on one side and a gruesome battlefield scene with dead and dismembered on the other, titled: "His First Exertion - And His Last" and then "Demonstrating the Week...and what it conceals". Within is the statement: "Hitler cannot win the war, he only prolongs it". The third piece is a small French language broadside measuring 6" x 8" and titled "Invasion", and asking "Why the Second Front?...Stalin is not able to indefinitely support the weight of the war against Germany...The Anglo-Americans will run quickly to avoid exhausting the patience of the Red Czar...Any sensible man cannot wish for the Second Front. But unfortunately it happened, and only through the maintenance of our public order can we avoid the worst...". Very good condition, three pieces.
