Good pair of World War II-era "Office of Defense Transportation" posters, includes: full-color Office of War Information poster, 20 x 28 in., showing a crowd of people on a train, some American soldiers in uniform, beneath the heading "Is Your Trip Necessary?" and above an orange border bearing the subtitle "Needless Travel Interferes with the War Effort". The bottom left bears the label "OWI Poster No. 74" and the bottom right has the publisher's line "U.S. Government Printing Office - 1943". Slight folds, some spots of foxing at bottom, else very good. WITH: full-color Office of War Information poster, 22 x 28 in., showing an American woman carrying grocery bags in front of equipment-bearing U.S. soldiers on the march, with the heading: "I'll carry mine too!" The poster is subtitled "Trucks and Tires must Last till Victory" The bottom left bears the label "OWI Poster No. 28" and the bottom right bears the publisher's line "U.S. Government Printing Office - 1943". Folds, two 1 in. tears at left edge, else very good.

Shipping

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
