WORLD WAR II INTELLIGENCE OFFICER'S GROUPING
A small archive of material from Army military intelligence officer Harry Kahn who served in Syria and Germany during and shortly after World War II. Kahn principally interrogated German prisoners and was involved in obtaining evidence against the giant Krupp industrial machine. Included is Kahn's 6pp. (partial) manuscript briefly describing his training as an interrogator and psy-ops specialist, two sergeant stripes, Correspondent U.S. Army and European Civil Affairs arm patches, a guide book for servicemen in Syria, a Nazi ration card for marmalade issued only to "Juden", an "urlaubs-schein", a copy of a letter signed by Hermann Goring (untranslated), a Sept. 10, 1945 3pp. 4to. carbon of a memo (unsigned) of evidence to be gathered to create a war crimes case against Krupp Arms, Kahn's military intelligence graduation certificate from Camp Ritchie, two banknotes for 500 million reichsmarks, and a few souvenir documents "liberated" by Kahn including German maps.
