Good lot of three World War I posters, each prominently advertising or promoting women's efforts throughout the war, including: Full-color "United War Work" poster, 20 x 30 in., showing a "Salvation Army Lassie" holding a plate of donuts behind a smiling American soldier, beneath the lettering: "Oh boy, that's the Girl!". The bottom-left portion bears the symbol of the Committee on Public Information, Division on Pictorial Publicity, and the bottom-right corner bears the publication line of Sackett and WIlhelms Corporation in New York. Ragged edges, notable loss to the corners, else very good. WITH: Full-color "War Savings Stamps" poster, 20 x 30 in., showing Joan of Arc with a beam of light behind her and holding a sword to the sky, bearing the exhortation "Joan of Arc saved France� Women of America Save Your Country. Buy War Savings Stamps�" The bottom left is signed in print by artist William Coffin, while the bottom-right bears the publication details of the United States Printing and Lithograph Company in New York. The bottom-left corner is labeled "S-1". Very ragged right edge, with notable loss and a 3 in. split to the top edge. WITH: Dual-color YMCA "War Work Week" poster, 20 x 30 in., titled "YOUNG WOMEN! Help the Boys in the Service!", showing a young woman with her palm outstretched, balancing an overseas YMCA station on her hand, above the text: "�The Red Triangle 'Hut' is the soldier's social center�Give to keep it going�" The bottom edge bears the label of the Allied Printing Trades Council, and the bottom-right corner is labeled "No. 14". The edges have been reinforced by tape on the verso, one 2 in. jagged tear at the center, just good condition.

Shipping

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
