Lot 1141
Description:
WORLD WAR I POSTER A most desirable World War I poster, 40" x 30", James Montgomery Flagg's famous poster showing a determined young man pulling off his civilian jacket (obviously ready to enlist!), having just read the newspaper at his feet bearing the headline: "HUNS KILL WOMEN AND CHILDREN!". At top the bold red printing reads: "TELL THAT TO THE MARINES!" and conveniently advises the name of the nearest recruiting station. Fine.
