Woody Guthrie Signed Contract, 1950
(1912 - 1967) American song writer and musician, considered the "Father of American Folk music", best known for his masterpiece, "This Land Is Your Land." The final page (only) of a contract, New York, Sept. 26, 1950, in which Guthrie signs over the rights of his song "I've Got to Know" to People's Records, Inc., a label and organization founded by Pete Seeger in 1945 to distribute American folk music. Torn left top corner, otherwise boldly signed and very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
