Description:

WOODROW WILSON
(1856 - 1924) Twenty-eighth President of the United States who passed sweeping reform laws, gave women the right to vote, and led the United States through World War I setting the ground work for the League of Nations. Superb S.P. 9" x 14", a sepia chest-up portrait of Wilson by Harris & Ewing, Washington. Signed in the lower margin "Woodrow Wilson 1923". Signed a year before his death on Feb. 3, 1924, the signature bears the shaky hallmarks of his 1919 stroke that rendered him paralyzed on his left side. Tiny foxed spot at left, else fine condition. A magnificent portrait.
