WOODROW WILSON
(1856 - 1924) Twenty-eighth President of the United States who passed sweeping reform laws, gave women the right to vote, and led the United States through World War I setting the ground work for the League of Nations. Interesting A.Q.S. 1p. 4to., a printed quote from a speech, in part: "...The opinion of the Bible was bred in me, not only by the teaching of my home when I was a boy, but also by every turn and experience of my life and every step of study is, that it is the one supreme source of revelation, the revelation of the meaning of life, the nature of God, and the spiritual nature and needs of me....If men could but be made to know it intimately, and for what it really is, we should have secured both individual and social regeneration...". Boldly signed, with dated added in another hand: "Trenton, Feby 28th, 1913". Simply framed, and, according to the penciled note on back of frame, this speech was delivered at the Trenton Armory during the time between his election and inauguration as President. Three small water stains, otherwise very good condition.
