WOODROW WILSON
(1856 - 1924) Twenty-eighth President of the United States who passed sweeping reform laws, gave women the right to vote, and led the United States through World War I setting the ground work for the League of Nations. T.L.S. on Princeton letterhead, 2pp. 8vo., Princeton, Mar. 10, 1910, to his friend and colleague Ed Sheldon. In part: "...Thank you for your letter...The only days next week when it would be possible for me to be in New York for a meeting of the Graduate School Committee would be Friday...During the week beginning March 20th I could arrange to be in town...I have written Thompson suggesting that the little conference committee he wrote me about should meet...". Edward Sheldon donated his family's ancestral home to Princeton University, which then became the home for junior faculty. Penned the last year of Wilson's presidency of the University. Weakened folds, small split at top margin, overall a bit soiled, good.
