WINSTON S. CHURCHILL
(1874 - 1965) British Prime Minister who led England through the Blitz and orchestrated the British liberation of occupied Europe and Germany. Churchill is today considered perhaps the greatest statesman of this century. A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo., London, Apr. 6, 1906, to member of Parliament J. M Robertson, Esq. In part: "...I have looked into the case of Dr. Chweiback's claim about which you wrote to me on the 27th and I enclose a note [not present] for your confidential information. You will see that the matter has been exhaustively examined, and that Dr. Chweiback has received everything to which there is any kind of proof...". Joseph Chweiback apparently made a claim for the restoration of property taken from him during the South African War. Fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
