On the verso, Wilson endorses the check with an additional typed notation that the sum is to be deposited with the Treasurer of the United States. Matted with a T.L.S. on White House letterhead, 1p. 4to., Washington, May 3, 1918 thanking the man for his generous response to the `buy-another-bond' movement, signed by Wilson's aid, J.P. TUMULTY.
