WILLIE SUTTON WANTED POSTER
WILLIE SUTTON (1901–1980) American bank robber. During his forty-year robbery career he stole an estimated $2 million, spent more than half of his adult life in prison and escaped three times. The poster shows a mugshot image of Sutton scowling at the camera and states that he has been indicted and is sought for 'Assault and robbery in New York City...'. There follows a detailed physical description of Sutton, signed in type by WILLIAM P. O'BRIEN, Police Commissioner. Light, even toning, File holes at top, near fine.
