Scarce manuscript D.S. "Wm Tryon" as governor, 1p. oblong folio on vellum, New York, Oct. 2, 1771, appointing Egbert Dumont as High Sheriff of Ulster County. Signed in the lower margin. Usual folds, light foxing and minor toning, else very good/
