(1843 - 1901) Twenty-fifth President of the United States, acquired Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guam and Hawaii, assassinated. Partly printed D.S. "William McKinley" as President, 1p. oblong folio, Washington, Mar. 19, 1901 appointing "...Edwin F. Luckenbach...Postmaster at Mauch Chunk [present day Jim Thorpe] in the Count of Carbon, State of Pennsylvania..." Some light to moderate folds, very light toning, else fine condition. Matted and framed together with a superb and large sepia chest-up photograph of McKinley (10" x 11" sight) as well as two guest tickets to the 1896 Republican National Convention at St. Louis. One ticket, for the first day of the convention, is printed on white stock, while the ticket for the second day is printed on green stock.
