WILLIAM JENNER
(1815-1898) English physician and pathologist who established the separate identities of typhus and typhoid fever. Interesting A.L.S. as President of the Royal College of Physicians, 3pp. 8vo., London, Oct. 25, 1887, to a Dr. Maxwell regarding a specimen page, in part: "...I should be very happy to assist you but I have not the pleasure of the acquaintance of Dr. Baumler, and I never like writing to foreigners with whom I am not in any way personally acquainted. Do you know Dr. Weber of Grosvenor Street? I have no doubt he could recommend you to the best man in Germany for the object you have in view...". Dr. Samuel Weber was the supervising physician at London's German Hospital in Dalston, where Jenner had been consulting physician. Boldly written and very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
