WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON
(1773 - 1841) Ninth President of the United States, military hero at Tippecanoe Creek and against Tecumseh, died after one month in office. A.D.S. signed three times (once in text), 1p. oblong 8vo., [Ohio, n.d., c. 1795?] being, "A list of taxable property belonging to Peyton Short & William H. Harrison in the County of Hamilton forty-two acres in corn & small grain eighty acres in pasture five cabbins [sic] all the above in the possession of tenants. The unimproved land has been entered in the Registry office agreeably to law...". On the verso, Harrison has added "I enter also enter [sic] nine hundred acres of third Rate land in the Miami Township which I purchased of Jacob Burnet George Burnet & Danl Shew". Soiled at folds, some ink show through, else very good condition. From the B. T. Fredericks collection.
