Ip. 8vo., Newport Apr. 23, 1812 As Customs Collector of Newport Ellery writes to Nathaniel Lands concerning the salvage of goods from a wrecked schooner: ...hired a vessel to carry the Rum, etc. from the wreck of the Ralph... to New London to be delivered to the Collector... the days you shall have been employed in this business you will charge to the United States and I will pay it. Uneven left margin but otherwise in excellent condition.
