WILLIAM CULLEN BRYANT(1794 - 1878) American poet, author of "Thanatopsis". Scarce S.P., a carte de visite image by Charles Fredericks, New York, showing the poet in a three-quarter length pose. Boldly signed at bottom blank margin "William Cullen Bryant May 20, 1864". Very good to near fine condition.
