A.L.S. 2pp. 8vo., on illustrated letterhead of The Shattuck Inn in Jaffrey, N.H., Sept. 14, [n.y.], to Miss Chapin, in part: "...I heartily agree with the rest of you in preferring the second set of drawings...I will send you a copy of the first... in October, so that I can have plenty of time to go over the proof...If you...still have the copy of the London Mercury...hold it for me...". File holes at top, very good condition.
