WILHELM STUCKART
(1902 - 1953) Nazi Under Secretary of the Interior who drafted the Nuremberg Laws. Later participated in the Wannsee Conference. Sentenced to four years at Nuremberg for his crimes. T.L.S. on his official letterhead, 1p. 4to., Berlin, Apr. 17, 1942 to Friedrich Franz, the Duke of Mecklenburg, who was posted to Denmark during World War II. He spent the summer months of 1944 serving with the Waffen-SS tank corps. In part: '...With reference to your statements in the matter of Prince Ernst von Isenburg, I sincerely inform you that the Prince has been deprived of his citizenship because, according to the findings made, his behavior violates the duty of loyalty to the Reich and the people, which has damaged German interests. A change in the decision is out of the question now given the situation of the case. Whether the matter can be reviewed at a later point in time, after the prince's return to the empire, cannot yet be foreseen....' File holes in left margin, one fold, else very good. The von Isenberg family was nobility from southern Hesse going back to the 1100s. Ernst's exact association with the family is unknown.
