Description:

WILHELM KEITEL(1882 - 1946) German field marshal and army chief of staff under Adolph Hitler, convicted of war crimes and executed at Nuremburg. Rare A.L.S. while confined at Nuremberg, 1p. 4to., Aug. 14, 1946, in pencil to Commandant of the Intermitten-Lagers prison at Nuremberg, acknowledging receipt of a deposit and arranging for further deposits of money to his daughter-in-law from his personal account. In part: "...I make the petition to have mailed the money approved for October...in debit of my deposit here no later than on the 25th of this month...". Penned just two months before his execution on Oct. 16, 1946. Very good to fine. Ex: Rendell .
