The photograph depicts a bearded Whitman, seated leaning against a table. With a printed statement in the lower margin: "Photographed from life, Sept, '72, Brooklyn, N.Y. by G.F.E. Pearsall, Fulton St.". Boldly penned with excellent contrast, one of the finest signed images of Whitman obtainable. Fine. $2,000 - 2,500
