WEST POINT CLASS OF 1850 AUTOGRAPH BOOK A superb autograph book containing about sixty signatures of cadets from the West Point Classes of 1850 to 1853, including nine who would go on to become Confederate generals (some excessively rare), at least five Union generals, numerous brevet generals and other Confederate and Union field and staff officers, Indian Wars figures, and so on. The signatures are contained within a leather-bound keepsake album, and all are boldly-penned, usually about eight or ten to a page. The book was owned, and is signed on the first page by WILLIAM THOMAS MAGRUDER (1825-1863), a staff officer to Col. James R. Davis, and was killed on the third day at Gettysburg.
