Description:

WERNER MOELDERS
(1913 - 1941) German Luftwaffe fighter ace, the first pilot in history to score 100 aerial kills. His final total stood at 101 victories in World War II as well as 14 in the Spanish Civil War. He rose quickly through the ranks, gaining command of a Geschwader (Fighter Wing) at age 27. Killed in a plane crash en route to Udet's funeral. Holder of the Knights Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds. Very rare war-date S.P. "Moelders", 11" x 9" b/w, shows him with Luftwaffe officers, boldly signed. A few corner wrinkles and a couple tiny spots, else very good.
