Description:

WEHRMACHT UNIFORM OF GEN. HERMANN HOLTER
World War I-cut uniform from maker Armin Ketelsen, Wesermunde label bearing the inked-in name of Gen. Herman Holter in the tunic. The fully lined tunic is Luftwaffe green bearing post-1942 chest eagle and shoulder boards, collar tabs added on (with backing removed), an edelweiss sleeve patch on left sleeve likely indicating service at Narvik, aiguillette present and of proper style, in good condition. The pants bear a double red stripe with red piping between, with zipper closure at bottom, possibly relined. Holter likely "upgraded" this uniform into 1942-43. Holter was a Knights Cross awardee and a staff officer with the 20th and 26th Armies.
