Description:

Walter H. McDougal American cartoonist who began his career with the New York Graphic, and later contributed to Harpers Puck and the New York World where his political cartoons are said to have swung the 1884 election to Cleveland. Original pen and ink signed cartoon, 8vo. ., showing a gaunt, meek preacher, hat in hand, greeting a seated grandmother. Possibly from the "Absent-Minded Abner" strip. Light stain, otherwise very good.
