VINTAGE RIDING BREECHES OF ROBERT WORRELL LOVE
An original pair of riding breeches belonging to Robert Worrell Lowe while at West Point. Love (1916-2003) was a member of the class of 1938,and was Company CO 11th Engineer Combat Regt. from 1940-1943, later Engineer Aviator Batallion 1943-1945, later Battalion Commander 2nd Engineer Combat BN in the Korean War, 1951-52. Winner of the Silver Star and Bronze Stars, retired in 1968. The breeches are light tan wool, with the traditional leather knee patches. Near fine condition. From the personal collection of World War II and Civil War historian Michael Miner. Miner's thirty-year collection was built through an extensive system of contacts he developed with artifact hunters and diggers in Europe and the Far East, and he maintained careful records of the items he amassed.

Shipping

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
