Photo album, 10 x 12 in., containing a good collection of 94 original photographs, documents, and Vietnamese bank notes from the Vietnam War, likely compiled by Lieutenant Corporal O.D. Northcutt, Jr. Most photographs roughly 3.5 x 3.5 in. and portraying American troops on their off-time, others showing Vietnamese civilians, villages, landscapes, and exotic dancers. Includes a Vietnamese "safe conduct pass", original travel orders, commissary passes, and an award certificate for a Navy Achievement Medal. Album cover is patterned cardboard and titled "The Views of Vietnam". Some pages have become unbound from album, noticeable tears to both front and back pastedown, yet photographs remain in good condition. WITH: Fine T.L.S. from JOHN B. CONNALLY, governor of Texas and cabinet officer, severely wounded during the assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas. 1p. 4to, [Texas], Jan. 15, 1968, involves the mailing of a Texas flag to then-"Private Northcutt". He writes, "I can't think of a better place for it than in the hands of our men overseas... Please be assured that I am fully aware of the great sacrifices being made by you and your fellow servicemen, and that I am proud of each and every one of you". Fine condition.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
