VIETNAM M1 "TANK DESTROYER" HELMET

Vietnam War M1 helmet with P64 infantry liner, ca. 1964-69, entirely regulation with elastic camo band (marked "Huff 'n' Puff") and showing field use, bearing the hand-painted emblem of a Marine tank destroyer unit at front, with matching shoulder patch included. Marine tank destroyer units in Vietnam generally were equipped with the M50 Ontos, light armored tracked anti-tank vehicle developed in the 1950s. It mounted six M40 106mm recoilless rifles as its main armament, which could be fired in rapid succession against single targets to guarantee a kill.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
