Description:

VICTORIA (1819 - 1901) Queen of England, reigned during the Crimean and Boer Wars, abolished the East India Company, brought Disraeli to power as Prime Minister, and is considered the symbol of a unified British Empire. Partly-printed D.S. as Queen "Victoria Reg" 1p. folio, Court of Saint James, Aug. 30, 1854, a military appointment of one William Fraser to the rank of lieutenant. Boldly signed at top left. Signature partially obscured by blind-embossed paper seal, moderate folds, overall very good.
