Description:
(Victoria 1819-1901 Queen of England, considered the symbol of a unified British Empire. Manuscript document 1p. folio on vellum, London, July 11, 1872, a warrant pertaining to an invention, an "Improvement in Shirts". Document is heavily water damaged, with large holes, but it bears a large, intact royal wax seal, 6.5in dia., bearing on recto an image of the Queen seated upon her throne, with image on verso of the Queen upon a horse with royal scepter in her hand. One small chip at top of seal.
