VASILY STALIN
(1921 - 1962) Soviet military officer and the son of Joseph Stalin, arrested in 1953 for revealing top secret information to foreign diplomats during a dinner party. He pled guilty to criminal negligence and was jailed. Upon his release in 1960, he was granted a pension, but never fully regained favor with the Soviet powers. Rare partly-printed D.S. 1p. legal folio, 1944, an "attestation" for fighter pilot Yuri Leleynikov in Cyrillic, co-signed by Russian ace Lutsky. Good condition, with clipped top left corner, pin holes to right margin, and light wrinkling.
