Excellent photograph album featuring the armored cruiser USS MARYLAND (1905-30) as well as other renowned ships of her time. The album, likely kept by an officer, measured 11" x 7 1/4" and includes about 100 6 3/4" x 4 1/2" photos affixed within. Images includes devastated San Francisco following the 1906 earthquake, the Honolulu waterfront and Governor's residence, native Hawaiians, their villages, and local scenery, a "King Neptune" ceremony at sea, MARYLAND bridge, radio room, cannon details, and loading, Panama, various vessels at dock and underway, some in heavy seas, including the PREBLE, SHERMAN, submarine FULTON, and much more. Very good.
