Pamphlet, small 8vo, "The Effects of Certain Anatomical Relations, A Lecture Delivered before the Medical Society, Charing Cross Hospital", signed at the top "with Jms Cantile''s Comps". Very good; FLORA LOUISA SHAW, LADY LUGARD (1852-1929) British journalist who helped to establish the University of Hong Kong. A.L.S. 2pp.8vo., [Nigeria, n.d.], in part: "The Government of course provides everything except linen and silver for our Nigerian establishment…". Top trimmed on first page, pencil notes at conclusion, folds, some soiling; and CHARLES ELIOT (1864-1931), British diplomat and colonial administrator, a famous scholar and linguist. First vice-chancellor of Hongkong University. Signature on a card, dated Nara, Japan, April 2, 1927. Three pieces.
