A good group of four items by noted Union generals, includes: DAVID RENICK (1820–1901) Brevet Brigadier General, fought during Atlanta, Savannah and Carolina campaigns. Partial war-date partial D.S. 1p. 12mo., Oct. 5, 1864, the bottom left corner of a larger document, certifying that he is on duty. Middle fold toned and repaired, else good; GEORGE W. RANDALL (1825–1876) Union Major, participated in numerous battles including Yorktown, Second Bull Run, Fredericksburg, Wilderness and Battle of the Crater. Partly-printed war-date D.S. ‘G. W. Randall Capt Cmdg 30th Maine Vols', an invoice for ordinance, signed at bottom. Folds, very good; JOHN F. RATHBONE (1821–1901) Union Brigadier General of the 9th Brigade of New York. Partly-printed D.S. 1p. sm. folio, New York, Sept. 23, 1864, a return of an officer, signed at bottom. Very good; and JOHN RAMSEY (1838–1901) Brevet Brigadier General, fought at Williamsburg, Peninsular Campaign and Second Bull Run. Partly-printed D.S. 1p. folio, Aug. 2, 1865, certifying payment. Signed adding rank, very good. Together four pieces.
