Good lot of three items signed by Union generals of the Civil War, includes: JOHN H. KETCHAM (1831-1906) Union brigadier general who served in Sherman's Georgia campaign, twice wounded. A.L.S. "J. H. Ketcham", 1p. 8vo., Washington, D.C., Nov. 22, 1867. Ketcham acknowledges his receipt of his correspondent's recent letter and mentions that he and his wife will be calling at an address in Washington. He signs at the conclusion in black ink. Toned overall, with mounting remnants to the verso, else very good. WITH: NATHAN KIMBALL (1823-1898) Union brigadier general who assumed Shields' command and defeated Jackson at Kernstown, later wounded at Fredericksburg and Antietam. A.N.S., 1p. oblong 8vo., Ogden, Utah, July 22, 1893, to a J.P. Dennis. In full: "I send you greeting. To the memory of George Washington." He signs boldly in black ink at the conclusion, adding: "Brig's & Brevet Maj Genl Volunteers U.S.A." Shows folds with splits thereto repaired on the verso with cello tape, with chips and slight toning to the edges, else very good. WITH: SPEED S. FRY (1817-1892) Union brigadier general who led the forces that killed Confederate general Felix Zollicoffer at the Battle of Logan's Crossroads. A.N.S. on a 5" x 3" post card, Harrods Creek, July 7, 1892, to a Col. R.M. Kelley, in full: "The Soldiers Home was formally dedicated and opened on the 7 day of Oct. 1891." He signs at the conclusion in black ink. Toned overall, else very good. Three pieces.
