U.S. NAVY FLYER'S FLIGHT SUIT AND RELATED GEAR
Excellent grouping of material representative of the set of gear issued to an Army Air Corps or Navy pilot prior to undertaking a mission in the South Pacific or tropical climate. Included is: two-piece headset and throat microphone model H63/U made by Lionel Corp., with cable; Army Air Corp leather flight helmet with straps; flight goggles with glass lenses and red felt lining, hinged at center, with apparent markings in Cyrillic; an "OXYGEN MASK STOWAGE" bag marked "J. Moran" by the owner on verso; inflatable "Mae West" life vest with several inspection dates from mid-1944 to early 1945; a web-type utility belt marked "U.S." with two pouches,one an "F.S.F. 1918" pouch with two .45 cal. mags, the second a pouch marked "J.Q..M.D. 1942" and containing an unopened "Carlisle" first aid kit; and a cotton one-piece flight suit with tag reading "Summer Flying Suit M-426 A" made by Royal Airsuit Inc. for the Navy Bureau of Aeronautics. One ankle zipper broken, else very good.

Shipping

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 14 - 21 days for shipments to arrive after receipt of payment due to the high volume of package being shipped.
