Good lot of four items signed by U.S. military generals, includes: ALBERT C. WEDEMEYER (1897 - 1989) American general who succeeded Stilwell as Chiang Kai Shek's Chief of Staff and Commander of American forces in China. Signature in black ink on a 8 3/4" x 3 3/4" War Department envelope, adding his rank "Lieut General USA". WITH: LAURIS NORSTAD (1907-1988) U.S. Air Force general and NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Europe. S.P., 8" x 10" b/w, a view of a Wright Flyer accompanied by a first-day issue stamp honoring the Wright brothers. Norstad signs boldly in blue ink at top center, adding "USAF (ret.)" WITH: LEONARD F. CHAPMAN, JR. (1913-2000) U.S. Marine general and Commandant of the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Washington, D.C., Dec. 1, 1970, to Pat Cassetta, Vice-President of the New York Chapter of the First Marine Division Association. Chapman thanks his correspondent for his complimentary letter regarding a Marine Corps major and recruitment officer, and signs at the conclusion in black ink. WITH: JOSEPH LAWTON COLLINS (1896-1987) U.S. Army major general, one of the few senior officers to see action against in both Europe and the Pacific during World War II. Later Chief of Staff of the United States Army during the Korean War. T.L.S., 1p. 4to., Washington, D.C., Aug. 12, 1971, respectfully declining a request for a letter describing his military experience but transmitting a signed photo (not present). He signs at the conclusion in blue ink. All very good to fine. Four pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
