Excellent lot of three signed books, between them bearing the signatures of 25 U.S. fighter aces of World War II and the Korean War. The first book, "Mustang; The Operational Record", by Robert Jackson (Washington, D.C.: Smithsonian Institution Press), 1992, 154pp. 8vo., has been signed on the front flyleaf by ROBIN OLDS, DONALD LOPEZ, ALDEN P. RIGBY, DUDLEY M. AMOSS, RICHARD ASBURY, ABNER M. AUST, CLYDE EAST, ARTHUR F. JEFFREY, JAMES W. EMPEY, CLAYTON K. GROSS, KENNETH H. DAHLBERG, LEONARD "RANDY" REEVES, DONALD S. BRYAN, DONALD J. STRAIT, and two unidentified. The second book, "F-86 Sabre: The Operational Record", also by Jackson (Shrewsbury: Airlife), 1994, 154pp. 8vo., has been signed on the front flyleaf by DONALD LOPEZ, CARL BROWN, RALPH S. PARR, FREDERICK "BOOTS" BLESSE, HAROLD E. FISCHER, WINTON "BONES" MARSHALL, BROOKS J. LILES, CLYDE A. CURTIN, and RALPH "HOOT" GIBSON. Both books are in very good to fine condition. WITH: CHUCK YEAGER (b. 1923) U.S. fighter ace and the first pilot to break the sound barrier. Signed book, his autobiography "Press On!", (Toronto: Bantam Books), 1988, 247pp. 8vo., signed on the front flyleaf in black ink. Very good to fine. Three pieces.

Shipping

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
