U.S. WORLD WAR I MEDAL AND INSIGNIA
Good lot of one American World War I-era medal and seven pieces of insignia, includes; a United States World War I Victory medal, approx. 1 1/2" dia., suspended from a rainbow ribbon and depicting a winged Victory on the obverse, with a list of the Allied powers flanking a shield and fasces on the reverse; screw-back "sweetheart" lapel button, approx. 1/2" dia., depicting the initials "US" within a star; brass lapel pin, 1" x 3/4", a pair of chevrons with the initials "A.E.F." (American Expeditionary Force), with pinback clasp; brass lapel pin, 1 1/4" x 1/2", forming the initials "U.S.", with pinback clasp; matched pair of brass lapel pins, each 1 1/4" x 1", displaying the crossed semaphore flags and torch of the U.S. Signal Corps, both marked "J.R. Gaunt London" on the reverse; and a pair of alloy lapel pins, each 1" x 1/2", consisting of the initials "U.S.", with the smaller initials "N.A.", for "national army". All shows some patina, else very good. Eight pieces.

Shipping

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipments after receipt of payment due to the high volume of packages being shipped.
