A comprehensive lot of signatures executed by U.S. Navy Rear Admirals and Commodores who gave notable service during the Civil War, the War of 1812, the Mexican-American War, the Spanish-American War and the second half of the 19th Century. All signatures are executed on cards or cut from documents, the majority adding sentiments and rank, and the majority in black ink. Signers include: Rear Admiral THOMAS O. Also present is the signature of Commander GILBERT C. WILTSE (1838-1893), who as captain of the USS BOSTON sent soldiers and sailors to support the overthrow of Queen Lili'uokalani of Hawaii. Many of these officers would lend their names to future U.S. Navy ships. Conditions vary, generally very good to fine. Should be seen. 54 pieces.

We will ship with USPS Priority Mail only if the buyer submits their request to us in writing and accepts responsibility for delayed shipments. Signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight.
