Description:

U.S. Army M-44 "Eisenhower" uniform jacket belonging to a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, constructed of olive-green wool and bearing a fabric label giving the size "40R" inside the collar. The lapels each bear a bright metal branch of service button, the left-hand example bearing the insignia of the Corps of Engineers, and the left-hand breast is fitted with seven medal ribbons in three rows, including the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal with three service stars, and the National Defense Service Medal, all above the Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation ribbon on the flap covering the breast pocket. The left-hand shoulder bears the embroidered insignia patch of the Eighth U.S. Army, with embroidered corporal's rank chevrons on each sleeve. The end of the right-hand sleeve is also fitted with three embroidered service stripes above a Distinguished Unit Citation - Second Award patch. The interior is lined with olive-green twill with two interior slash pockets, the right-hand example bearing a fabric label identifying the manufacturer as the David Fishman Co., and dated April 14, 1945. Shows minor soiling inside the collar, else very good to fine.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling and shipping charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
