"Traditionsbuch der Marineschule Wesermuende"("Tradition Book of the German Navy School Wesermuende"), 373pp., 12" x 16 1/2", disbound, 334 photographs, documenting in detail the structure and activities at this training facility for non-commissioned officers for the Kriegsmarine from its beginnings on April 1, 1935 until the last entry on March 11, 1945. Contains within the signatures and dedications of nine admirals and generals, including Minister of Defense and Supreme Commander of the German Armies WERNER VON BLOMBERG, Commander and Chief of the German Navy ERICH RAEDER, Admiral HERMANN BOEHM, Admiral ALFRED SAALWAECHTER, Admiral HERMANN DENSCH, Admiral OTTO SCHULTZE, Admiral HANS FECHTER, Admiral ERICH ZIEGER, Rear-Admiral HANS VOSS, and others. The archive contains short biographies on the commanders of the academy, several muster rolls listing the teaching officers and promotions of enrolled officers. Of interest are the various reports of air attacks. The first reported attack occurred after The last report of the air raid on September 18, 1944 mentions the attack of several hundred English and American "terror airplanes" and the firestorm destruction of two-thirds of the homes in the surrounding towns, noting that "...due to the destruction of the picture agency there will be no more photographs until the end of the war...".
